Production Process of Drawer Slides
When it comes to manufacturing high-quality drawer slides, precision and attention to every details are very important. 1. Raw Material Procurement
Our journey begins with the careful selection of raw materials. The primary materials for our drawer slides include cold-rolled steel plate, 304 stainless steel plate, and aluminum alloys. The choice of material depends on the specific requirements of each drawer slide order. For most drawer slides, we opt for Q235B, a high-quality cold-rolled steel material. Also different drawer slides use different thickness of steel plate. Like our 227 kg loading rate drawer slides use 2.5 mm thickness steel plate while 115 kg loading rate drawer slides use 2.0 mm thickness steel plate.
2. Rolling and Shaping or punching
The next stage involves transforming these raw materials into the desired drawer slide profiles. Here’s how we do it:
We assemble molds tailored to the specifications of each drawer slide order.
The selected raw materials are fed into rolling machines.
These rolling machines work their magic, shaping the materials into the required drawer slide profiles.
At this point, quality control measures are in place to ensure that the semi-finished products meet the specifications outlined in the product manual. If the drawer slides files are not qualified with our request, we have to adjust the machine, and re-produce them, until all the drawer slides files are in top quality.
For many of our drawer slides, plating is a crucial step to provide corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal. Here’s a glimpse of our plating process:
We start by thoroughly cleaning the drawer slides to remove any surface impurities.
The drawer slides are immersed in plating baths, usually containing chrome or other suitable metals.
Careful control of plating time and temperature ensures a uniform and adequately thick coating.
Rigorous inspections are conducted to verify the quality of the plating, ensuring it meets the required standards.
It’s important to note that drawer slides made from 304 stainless steel and aluminum alloys do not require plating and can be used as is.

With all the plated components ready, it’s time to bring them together to become drawer slides:
We collect the plated components, including outer member of drawer slides, middle member of drawer slides, inner member of drawer slides, ball bearings, steel ball retainers, plastic parts, and other necessary components.
A fully automated assembly line is employed to efficiently put together the drawer slides.
Quality assurance is at the heart of our production process. Here’s how we ensure the reliability and performance of our drawer slides:
Rigorous inspections are conducted to identify any product defects or issues.
The smoothness of sliding is assessed to ensure that every pair of drawer slides offers a seamless experience.
Load-bearing capacity is tested by mounting the drawer slides on testing machines, subjecting them to continuous back-and-forth motion. Typically, our drawer slides are designed to withstand at least 10,000 cycles.
The final step in our production process is the careful packaging of our products:
Assembled drawer slides are first placed in OPP bags.
They are then securely packed into cardboard boxes.
These boxes are neatly arranged on pallets, ready for shipping in containers.
We also offer customizable packaging options to meet specific customer requirements, such as individually packaging inner and outer tracks or using specialized pallet materials.
